EDU-CA-TION: Professor Griff and Dr Umar Johnson

Cloudy skies and the possibility of rain did not keep the community from the 630 Convention Center in the city of Atlanta to witness the fireworks. The dynamic trio of Professor Griff, The Black Dot and Dr. Umar Johnson exploded. One by one each set fire to a clear picture that Saturday evening. The room quickly filled causing a few to pour out onto the patio under the fall of light drizzle, however, everyone remained focused.

Professor Griff began with libation, "Ase’ to our ancestors for their guidance, next with permission from the elders to commune", the fuse was lit. Out the box he illuminated perception of our image, music, mirror, being used to control a war. Clarity of symbols and acronyms projected the reality of the fear driven tactics to dictate our standards of self. Aligning everyone with the progressive picture if we continue to allow this mental slavery of the youth, what will the future hold? Blood has been drawn; our trails are soiled with it. When do we take stock in our infinite power?
The Professor’s vibration rocked the fault, in darkness with truth The Black Dot submerged. “You can’t buy spirituality" To accomplish the set agenda, you have to “Do what you are here to do!” Link to link, he affirmed the connection. Others concern of disappear is no longer illusive but a fact of our consciousness. Dispel trivial pastimes that were put in place to induce self-hatred, Self-misrepresentation and lack of respect for self, leading to lack of respect for others. “How are we going to reclaim the art form?” Inside the program Black Dot hacked away at Hip Hop’s core. Observation of our opponent revealed revolutionary tactics necessary to regain advantage. The sustenance to fulfill this resides in knowledge of self and the tightening of deliberately loosened bonds to replenish kinship.

From inside out, The Black Dot conducted affinity amongst man. He tilled the mindset for Dr. Umar Johnson who constructed its comprehension. What Emancipation? They simply charged us to transfer ownership. His sword cut deep as strategies burst into view adding the final touches. Meetings held regarding the majority exclude the majority in attendance predicating a system of confinement. Every act is an act of war! Here emotions have no place and your spouse is misplaced. Raising Our Young Men has to be done by us! We have to control the source of input for every outlet. Dr. Johnson hadn’t even embarked upon his quest before grabbing the crowd. “What are you doing and Who Are You doing it with?"

Equally electrifying, each man evoked different yet complementary sensations with ingenuity. Stitching together at the seams - The Red; pick up where fallen soldiers left off. The Black; stop being critical of those less advanced. The Green; free your mind to free your body. United we stood with an agenda at hand. EDU-CA-TION in its rare form actuated change. Change in concept of our identity.
